Questions about RequestAPrint
There is no charge to you. We will give you a web address, and you just link to it
from your site. As orders come in we will be asking you for Transparencies or
Files, so we can produce the reproductions.
What reports do you provide?
We typically provide quartly reports. However, this frequency may be adjusted to
reflect sales volume or museum preferences. This report includes - Name of work,
type of reproduction, date shipped, name of purchaser and commission.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of images we should have available?
It has been our experience that the more images you show the better the sales. We like to let customer requests drive what images we reproduce. We can use thumbnails to develop the site and acquire the larger files as we receive orders.
What resolution do you want the images?
We will scan in 4x5 Transparencies and prep them for reproductions - at no
charge to you. We do these at 2400 dpi, which produces a tiff file about 250 meg.
A jpeg file size would be least 4 meg. with a compression level of 10.
What if we don't have high quality files ?
Good quality 4x5 Transparencies will work just fine. If you would like, we can
photograph your collection. Commissions from sales can help defray the cost.
Can you reproduce photographs?
We can provide both digital and traditional prints.
